Security Patrol Officer
K9 Security is hiring for a Security Patrol Officer to add to our Team. The ideal candidate has a
background in security (private or public), armed forces or law enforcement (honorable discharge).
The core responsibility of the position is to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients
through patrolling and monitoring several properties and personnel.
Job Duties:
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; inspecting buildings, equipment, and
access points; permitting entry.
Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and
procedures; removing trespassers.
Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance
activities.
Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
Utilize and maintain all equipment issued
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Works among and in cooperation with trained K9 dogs and their handlers.

Physical Requirements
Must be in the physical condition to be able to participate in training exercises involving hand to
hand engagement and the use of personal protective equipment involving both team mates and
K9 dogs.
Lifting, pushing or pulling up to 100lbs.
Able to wear protective equipment during shift, weighing up to 35lbs.
Experience with personal protective equipment a Plus!
Regular recertification / testing of all equipment required
First Aid / CPR
Requirements of Employment
Must consent to a background check
Must be able to pass Alaska State Licensing Agency Check
Must consent to a psychological evaluation
Must consent to a pre-employment drug screening
Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Must be willing to work flexible schedules
Compensation: Salaried position, based on experience.
