Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Assist with data collection and documentation of client progress
- Utilize crisis management techniques when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Support individuals in developing and improving social, communication, and daily living skills
- Follow all protocols and procedures for maintaining client confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, or a related field preferred
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desired
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate data collection
- Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations
- Basic knowledge of medical records and documentation procedures
Skills:
- Experience in PTSD care is a plus
- Knowledge of crisis management techniques
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies
- Ability to provide patient care, including monitoring vital signs if required
- Proficiency in data collection methods and analysis
