Park and Recreation Maintenance Staff - Seasonal
K&S Staffing is currently hiring for a Seasonal Park and Recreation maintenance position.

Duties include but not limited to:

Perform general grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weeding, perform general landscape and cleanup duties, including trash and debris removal; maintain and clean public restroom facilities; inspect, maintain, and repair benches, picnic tables, receptacles, playground structures, and signs; maintain park settings, trees, playgrounds, and other planting areas; assist with tree planting, trimming and pruning, and removal; maintain and repair motorized, mechanical and grounds keeping equipment; repair vandalism and other damage; assist during construction projects; provide information and answers inquiries from the public; set up for reservations and special events; perform all work duties and activities in accordance with city policies, procedures, and safety practices; assist with burial services including, but not limited to, opening and closing lots, setups, monument settings, and perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Basic grounds maintenance skills, including but not limited to, mowing, trimming, pruning, irrigation, and customer service skills. Basic knowledge of construction, small engine maintenance, and repair.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions; operate power equipment, including but not limited to, grounds keeping equipment, riding and walk-behind mowers, trimmers, operate hand tools; operate a motor vehicle.
Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.

Physical/Environmental Factors:

The position requires sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively in person;
Sufficient visual acuity, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to comprehend written work instructions;
Sufficient manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to operate a variety of heavy equipment, power, and hand tools and to make adjustments to equipment;
Sufficient strength to lift objects in excess of 75 pounds;
Sufficient body mobility and flexibility to perform maintenance and repair operations and perform strenuous activities for extended periods of time in varied weather conditions.

Seasonal Position-Estimated Time Needed 3-4 Months (June-September)
Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:00am to 3:30pm) with occasional evenings and weekends.
Pay is $16.50-$17.50/hr. DOE
