Job Summary: The Director of Safety works under the direction of the VP of Operations. Responsibilities include collaboratively setting, planning and executing the company strategy for safety ensuring our company operate safely and efficiently.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership, training and direction to the safety and warehouse management teams on leadership, procedures, recognition, evaluations such as but not limited to: 
2. New employee training and orientation.
3. Develop and implement “Best Practices”.
4. Continuous improvement.
5. Driver and warehouse safety. 
6. Conduct monthly or quarterly meetings as needed with management team.
7. Develop and oversee Safety strategies and objectives which supports the organizations.
8. Create analytics and metrics to track and improve safety performance.
9. Maintain and create SOP’s for all job duties and responsibilities within the function.
10. Ensure all locations are OSHA compliant.
11. Maintain fair, consistent management of the implementation of Company policy(ies);
12. Establish, maintain and analyze employee injury statistics to identify all hazards and areas of potential loss; present and communicate such data to business units in a useful and effective manner;
13. Investigate workplace incidents/injuries/illnesses (i.e., near misses, recordables);
14. Develop and implement training programs to communicate EH&S information to facilitate employee awareness, engagement and involvement
15. Work closely with K&M management and ELT.
16. Anything else needed to help obtain the goals of K&M Tire.

12. Ability to learn and use Microsoft Office products. 
13. Possess a valid driver’s license, and willing to travel when needed. 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in safety, business, related field, or 8 years of relevant experience
