K. Hovnanian is growing! We’re seeking self-motivated individuals to join our team and apply their experience in material takeoffs across our national portfolio plans. The role will work with both national and local teams to support the construction of our communities by mastering building practices within one or more of our divisions.
The ability to accurately read and understand construction documents is a must. Manage base house, elevation, and option takeoffs as they relate to each other within each plan. Identify impactful specification changes as they affect completed takeoffs. Develop appropriate spreadsheets to record data and extend pricing. Review and validate takeoffs for accuracy at both an administrative and as-built level.
Education/Experience:
The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or 2 years of estimating experience. The candidate will also be comfortable working with software as an integral part of this role. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Previous experience in software such as Planswift, AutoCAD, and Simpson Pipeline or similar will be valued.
