Essential Functions:
The Client Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the HOA Accounting Department and ensuring timely and accurate financial management and reporting for all Terra West HOA clients. This position will also process accounting transactions and financial statements as necessary, as well as other duties as follows:
· Work directly with accounting staff and supervisors to resolve issues in a timely manner.
· Coach and mentor staff and ensure that proper training is provided for each team member.
· Assist in resolving manager and board member questions regarding financial statements.
· Attend board meetings in order to present monthly financial statements as required.
· Assist in maintaining tracking spreadsheets for various upper management documents.
· Approve, process, and maintain tax, accounting, and banking records.
· Communicate with community managers and HOA board members regarding investments and facilitate opening and renewing investments.
· Process monthly ACH’s, wires, management fees and recurring revenue transfers; record corresponding journal entries.
· Review, code, & approve check requests & give to AP for processing, process new bank signature and documentation requests.
· Prepare budget materials for HOA’s and for distribution to homeowners.
· Manage accounts receivable and escrow/recovery services supervisors and staff; maintain industry standard A/R aging and other relevant KPI’s
· Communicate with homeowners as a point of escalation for payment issues and exceptions.
· Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with NRS and GAAP
· Prepare monthly HOA financial statements and supporting schedules, including preparation of journal entries and bank reconciliations, and auditing A/R and A/P transactions.
· Enter and review association budgets and report on large variances.
· Prepare year end CPA audit packets and purge files.
· Communicate with other department heads and Executives regarding department progress and needs.
· Perform all other job requests as assigned by management.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
· B.S. Accounting/Finance Degree Program or a minimum of 3 years’ homeowners association accounting experience
· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
· Knowledge of auditing practices and principles
· Advanced knowledge of MS Word, MS Access and MS Excel
· Minimum 3 years’ in a leadership role
