As a Rental Yard Manager, your key responsibility will be to lead the yard team to provide excellent customer service and work product through effective and efficient operations. It is your responsibility to promote overall safety, quality, performance and customer experience within the yard.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Inspects rental equipment on a regular basis and resolves issues promptly
· Provides management with a weekly feedback on rental issues and offers solutions to improve customer service
· Coordinates with Service Manager to make sure all inoperative rental equipment is logged out/in and returned to service when repairs/maintenance is completed
· Coordinates repairs on rental equipment with Service Manager
· Coordinates with Counter Manager to assure equipment is ready for rent as needed
· Manages difficult customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service or assigns others as needed
· Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of equipment in service / IRO’s
· Enforces rental check in / out policies and procedures
· Delegates rental duties
o Inside rental
o Outside rental
· Ensures correct information is on tickets i.e.; item#, unit#
· Supervises loading and unloading of rental equipment, and paperwork is completed properly
· Consistency of the size and placement of rental decals on equipment
· Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on company policies, standards and procedures; monitoring associate compliance to policies and procedures
· Ensures employees are wearing proper safety equipment as needed
· Maintain safe and clean work environment for employees.

· Maintains end of day closing list
· Completes assigned tasks within deadline and meets goals
· Leads and motivates employees, empowers them to take responsibility for their jobs & goals
· Delegate and implement daily tasks for employees, monitor if overtime is warranted
· Provides management with vacation requests minimum two weeks in advance
· Monitor and maintain ongoing training with employees
· Works effectively with all levels of the company- parts, service, sale
· Adheres to company mission statement and core values to minimize customer complaints
· Performs other duties as assigned
