Job Overview:

Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our team remotely. We are looking for an Owners Engineer to join our Mega projects team.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Perform Owners Engineering Design review, PLS-CADD Line Design QAQC review, Structure Loading Design review, and Fabrication Drawings review
• Assist with reviewing the design of medium to high voltage AC and DC OH transmission lines, including circuit rating calculations, NESC/Customer electrical clearance requirements, structure selection, and configuration, structure spotting, major transmission line component selection, foundation design, and cable system construction methods specifications
• Work with designers to develop drawing packages to support the design including route plan and profiles, trench cross sections, duct bank designs, cable rating calculations, and construction details
• Assist with studies and provide constructability reviews and preparation of project capital and expense estimates
• Perform calculations and prepare technical reports and foundation Engineering Design
• Support the documentation of newly constructed Transmission Line facilities
• Assist with the management of project correspondence, RFIs coordination and file management

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program
• 7 years of Civil/Structural engineering experience with transmission line design using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole and/or PLS Tower
• Owners Engineer experience is a must
• Experience with foundation design software (MFAB, L-Ple, PLS CAISSOM)
• Ability to understand and apply client specific standards, specifications, applicable codes and regulations
• Perform engineering responsibilities without assistance and minimal supervision
• Familiarity of Article VII Permitting is preferred 
• PE license is preferred 
• Ability to travel as needed to client sites
