Job Overview:

Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Program Manager, Distribution Design to join our team in Northern California.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • The Program Manager is responsible for the effective oversight, management, and execution of the program
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with client for efforts such as coordination, strategic planning, scope management, budget finances, project staffing, compliance, and schedule realization.
  • Create and maintain an attitude of leadership towards the contractor's project team with respect to overall management activities (including quality assurance, engineering, planning, while respecting the established budget and schedule objectives.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders daily.
  • Preparing and completing action plans; implementing and reporting on production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying risks, resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining improvements; implementing change.
  • Promote a culture of “can do attitude” and “say do” ratio across the team.
  • Focus on SPI and CPI performance indicators as decision drivers.
  • Develop and execute a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas to target for improvement.
  • Maintain and analyze data to accurately forecast program activities and progress.
  • Providing expert guidance and support to develop a team that is continually growing through training, support, and the needed growth capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team collaboration.
  • Provide technical guidance, support and coaching to others to share knowledge and increase understanding of the team’s program and services.
  • Support internal project financials, staffing, risk management, change management, contract management, tracking and resource management for all projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent
  • 10 years of Distribution Design experience with at least 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in managing and executing projects for electrical power industries, especially for electrical utilities
  • Professional Certification (PMP) is preferred.
  • Ability to influence, lead, and manage change thoughtfully and positively.
  • Understands and identifies training or developmental needs of others and has the ability to design and establish new ways to support them.
  • Strong project management skills and a strategic perspective is required.
  • Support and be part of a team environment.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills including human resource management, negotiations and communications.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • Candidate must be in the Northern California area or willing to relocate

The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licenses and certifications; and other related skillsets. The disclosed range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
