The IT Programmer position will work with the IT Department Manager to develop ASP.net applications used at offices in the USA and Europe. These applications interact with other company software (both internally developed and 3rd party) to provide efficiency and accuracy to the software users. The position will use Visual Studio to create ASP.net pages that have a C# code behind. These pages will use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to give the pages a professional and uniform appearance. These pages will read and write data to a SQL Server database. The position may on occasion be asked to help with troubleshooting of general software and hardware computer problems.
Technical Skills:
-Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience developing ASP.net applications using C#.
-Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience creating Web pages that use CSS in a ASP.net environment
-Must have experience working with Visual Studio and the MS Office family of products.
-Experience with VB.net is a plus.
-Experience creating stored procedures in SQL Server is a plus
-Experience with ER Diagrams, especially in Visio is a plus.
-Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
-Ability to troubleshoot basic software and hardware problems is a plus.
Non-Technical Skills
-Must be a self-starter and be able to work on multiple projects at the same time.
-Must have the ability to self-organize and work with minimal supervision
-Must have the ability to find innovative solutions to problems.
-Must have above average verbal skills and the ability to seek out answers from colleagues.
-Must have excellent written skills and the ability to document software
Education:
-A Bachelor's Degree in CIS, MIS, Computer Science or other relevant major is required.
