PART-TIME BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONIST - CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC
JusticeWorks BehavioralCare is looking for an experienced Behavioral Interventionist to join our team and help support children and families in our community. As a Behavioral Interventionist, you will be responsible for providing direct, evidence-based behavioral interventions to children and families, as well as creating individualized treatment plans and collaborating with other professionals. You will also be expected to maintain accurate and comprehensive records and documentation of all services provided. If you are passionate about working in the Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice, or Social Work field, this is the job for you.

The qualified Behavioral Interventionist will have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other related Behavioral Health field; minimum of one to two years’ experience working in the field of social work and/or behavioral health counseling with children and adults.
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other related Behavioral Health field
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to a vehicle.
  • Pass current, applicable clearances.
  • Pass pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
The qualified Behavioral Interventionist will:
  • Provide coaching and appropriate modeling of behavior for the purpose of decreasing negative behaviors of the client and/or family.
  • Provide crisis intervention when needed at school, home and in the community.
  • Transport clients utilizing personal vehicle as necessary.
The qualified Masters Level Behavioral Interventionist will:
  • Perform all Bachelor level responsibilities as listed above.
  • Perform behavioral health screenings as needed.
  • Complete formalized assessments of student and family functioning and make recommendations for Family Treatment Planning in compliance with DHHS standards.
