Justice Resource Institute is Hiring a School Director Near Berkley, MA

Who We Are Looking For:  
Anchor Academy is a therapeutic day school located in Berkley, MA providing services to students ages 10-22 with complex social-emotional learning needs. Approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Anchor Academy students and their treatment teams receive comprehensive educational, clinical, behavioral, and family engagement support with a model of care tailored to each individualized student within a trauma-informed environment.
What You'll Do:  
This is an exciting opportunity to lead an innovative and well-respected special education therapeutic school. The School Director will be responsible for the leadership, administration, and supervision of the school’s education, clinical and career development programs, daily operational functions, program and personnel development, strategic planning, financial coordination, and human resource functions.  
The School Director will collaborate with local public school staff to facilitate the enrollment of students and assure ongoing positive relationships. The School Director will chair the Administrative Team meetings and lead the team in the direction set forth by the mission and vision of the program and JRI. The School Director will assure that all operations meet the standards set forth by JRI and all licensing and regulatory entities. 
The Anchor Academy School Director will be an integral member of the JRI Day School Leadership team that works collaboratively together. This group of team leaders, along with the JRI Superintendent, are responsible for professional development, curriculum oversight, policy implementation, technology advancement, promoting inclusivity and diversity to implement best practices and apply research to lead the schools.

Requirements: 
  • Qualified candidates will have a SPED Administration license or all of the following: 
  • A license in moderate disabilities with a M.ED Special Education. 
  • At least 1 year of administrative experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience at the management level, collaborating effectively with public schools and community based organizations to improve the outcomes of at-risk students.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and leaderships abilities. 
  • Knowledgeable of the needs of the population served; understanding of the range of interventions and treatments required by this population. 
  • Acceptable CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and OIG background check.
