Who we are looking for: 

Are you the Case Manager we have been looking for? JRI’s Intensive Foster Care program provides youth and families with environments of safety and care that aim to enhance stability and long-term success, through both foster care, adoption supports, and training opportunities. Our staff provide culturally responsive, trauma informed, best practice treatment care to a diverse and robust community, servicing a wide variety of racial, cultural, linguistic and ethnic backgrounds. We hope to find a talented social worker to be in the case manager role supporting children and foster families in meeting their goals.

JRI provides the training so that: 

  • YOU will provide oversight and clinical case management services to our foster homes.
  • YOU will provide the children, families and young people we serve with the most culturally responsive, trauma informed, best practice treatment available.
  • YOU will participate in a staff rotation for after-hour on-call crisis management (primarily via phone and occasional face-to-face contact).
  • YOU will conduct home visits and interviews with foster families.
  • YOU will complete all required case documentation.

Requirements: 

  • Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in social work, or human services related field.
  • Candidates must have a LSWA/LSW or be able to attain a license within 6 months of hire.
  • Candidates should have some clinical experience including (or a willingness to learn): knowledge of trauma; attachment; child abuse and neglect; child development; family systems and behavior management.
  • Candidates with knowledge of the foster care and the Child Welfare/DYS systems are preferred.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working with DYS and DCF clients/systems.
  • Candidates must have an active driver’s license, appropriate driving record, access to an insured automobile, and a wiliness to travel as visits to client homes and communities is required. Background and driving record checks will be performed.
