Bay Cove Academy is a therapeutic day school located in Brookline, MA providing services tostudents ages 12-22 with complex social-emotional learning needs. Approved by theMassachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Bay Cove Academystudents and their treatment teams receive comprehensive educational, clinical, behavioral, andfamily engagement support with a model of care tailored to each individualized student within atrauma-informed environment.
Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to support an innovative and well-respected special educationtherapeutic school. The Dean of Operations will be responsible for implementing and overseeingsystems and procedures. They will be responsible for the school’s programming, hiring andonboarding new staff, developing and leading in-service professional development trainings,and oversight of students daily data collection. The Dean of Operations will supervise milieustaff and the Milieu Coordinator.
The Bay Cove Dean of Operations will be an integral member of the Bay Cove Academy SchoolLeadership team that works collaboratively together. This group of team leaders are responsiblefor professional development, curriculum oversight, policy implementation, technologyadvancement, promoting inclusivity and diversity to implement best practices and applyresearch to lead the school.

Requirements:
- Advanced degree in psychology, education, social work, or a relatedfield from an accredited college or university.
- At least three years’ experience, at the management level, collaborating andcoaching effectively with supervisees to improve overall functioning of the milieu.
- Significant experience working with students who require therapeutic interventions and support.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and leadership abilities.
- Knowledgeable of the needs of the population served; understanding of the range of interventions and treatment required bythis population.
- Experience in Performance Improvement concepts preferred.
- Acceptable CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and OIG background check.
