JustCompassion is Hiring a Shelter Staff- Swing Shift- Beaverton Location Near Beaverton, OR

Since 2017, Just Compassion has partnered with the City of Beaverton to operate a severe weather shelter out of the Beaverton community center. We continued to operate the shelter on a seasonal basis until 2023, we have been extended to a year-round shelter.

We are seeking responsible, motivated, compassionate people to join our team! Positions start at $17.50/hr.

AFTERNOON/EVENING (2:30pm-10:30pm)

Responsible for enforcing guest guidelines (including COVID-19 guidelines as set by State and Just Compassion).
Responsible for checking in guests during designated check-in time
Responsible for supervising guests and responding quickly and appropriately to any potential issues or conflicts that may arise.
Check in guests each day and secure/check bags
Facilitate Timely Transitions for Guests
Responsible for setup, dinner, and additional operation shelter needs in the evenings with a focus on customer service and cleanliness
Prep dinner for serving
Serve dinner restaurant style to all guests
Sanitize and wipe down tables, chairs, and surface areas of kitchen
Ensure a clean and sanitary environment throughout the entire shelter.
Distribute linens for the beds (sheet, pillow/pillowcase, blanket)
Additional tasks as assigned by the coordinator.

This position reports directly to the Shelter Coordinator as well as the Operations Manager.
