Position Overview

As a prep cook, you are Waffle Master, your job is to execute Just Love's procedures with lightning-fast efficiency while keeping your workspace clean. You must compile orders with pinpoint accuracy, exceed expectations, and create an unforgettable experience for our guests. The minimum age requirement is 16 years.

Responsibilities

• Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, and slice cooked meat and vegetables
• Label stock and inventory all ingredients
• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately
• Prepare items such as slicing tomatoes, cutting bell peppers, dicing onions, making waffle batter, and rolling biscuits
• Ensure all dishes used are cleaned promptly
• Keep each station clean and ready for the next team
• On-the-job training provided

• Running successful shifts including hitting the targeted ticket times.

Reports to: Kitchen Manager

Probationary Period: Your first 90 days will be a probationary period. You are an At-Will employee and the company or you, may terminate your employment for any reason during this period.

Training: We will provide you with a written training manual outlining all aspects of your job and a training outline. This will be a logical progression of training so that all aspects of your position are covered. We will work with you daily to make sure you are properly indoctrinated with our processes, procedures, and the fundamental workings of our company.

Compensation: Your position description and compensation plan may be changed at management’s discretion to support business objectives. Any changes will be communicated before a new payroll period starts. A payroll period is a two-week period that the company pays every other Friday. This position has the opportunity to earn tips. Tips will be split between employees based on the cumulative hours worked. Managers will not receive tips.
