Just for Kids is a community centered non-profit organization that offers before and after school programming in the Amherst, Cheektowaga Central, Cheektowaga Sloan, Grand Island, Sweet Home, and Williamsville Central School Districts. We also offer programming at The Park School of Buffalo, Saints Peter and Paul School in Hamburg and Williamsville, St. Andrew's Country Day School in Kenmore, St. Benedict School in Amherst, St. Mary's School in Swormville, and Aurora Waldorf School in West Falls.

Position Summary

A Field Supervisor is responsible for supervising and providing administrative support to Just for Kids On-Site Management, ensuring well-organized programs with high staff morale and high student/parent satisfaction. Represent the non-profit organization in a positive light to the public and internal staff, aligned with our Core Values.

  • School Age Program Oversight – school days. Assume approximately 40% of work week spent on site, remainder at Administrative Office.
  • Coach and support Program Managers to ensure compliance with state regulations and in accordance with Just for Kids standards and expectations.
  • Provide monthly report outlining state and internal inspection results.
  • Consult to Program Managers and site-based staff – ensure regular contact at sites.
  • Support Management of staff schedule, ensure sites maintain correct ratio.
  • Final approval for Time Off requests; ensure Program Managers follow procedure for approvals.
  • As needed, temporarily fulfil duties on site in the event of Program Manager vacancy.
  • As needed, temporarily act in ratio at a program location.
  • Conduct performance appraisals of Site Management (Initial, mid-year as needed, end of year).
  • Final payroll review and approval (biweekly, following established protocols).
  • Parent Communications – alerts for program events, pertinent personnel changes, and seasonal parent newsletter for your district: Fall, Winter, Spring issues each School Year.
  • Support planning and general preparation for February/April Break Camp and Summer Camp in assigned District(s).
  • Allocate staffing and prep staff schedules for camps.
  • Manage one location during each camp.

Requirements:

Schedule

Full time, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:
· Must qualify for “Director” position with NYSOCFS.
· Two or more years of experience as a named Director within a NYSOCFS licensed program preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with individuals at all levels.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Strong leadership skills and the ability to successfully oversee others.
· Experience with OCFS regulations as it pertains to school age programs.
