Deli Assistant / Prep Cook

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DELI ASSISTANT / PREP COOK

As a Deli Assistant / Prep Cook, you will be responsible for the preparation of deli food for the grab and go case, including salads, soups, wraps and sandwiches according to a production schedule. Assemble, wrap and price sandwiches along with other deli foods needed. Stock and rotate products following established procedures. Maintain kitchen in sanitary and orderly condition, following health department standards. Ensure product is stocked, rotated, fronted and faced according to established procedures. Pull low quality or out of date items, recording and properly disposing of them following established procedures. Maintain back stock areas in clean, orderly condition, meeting health department standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Prolonged walking, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching

· Experience in kitchens and have knife skills
