Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing construction projects, preparing accurate cost estimates, and ensuring projects are completed within budget. Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to perform takeoffs and generate estimates
- Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project expenses
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and proposals for clients
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations
- Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure accurate budgeting and scheduling
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and pricing fluctuations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques
- Proficiency in using software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for estimating purposes
- Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations
