Just BE Kitchen is a small woman owned business with 3 locations in Downtown Denver, DTC & Boulder in CO. We are a 100% Gluten & Grain free fast casual wellness establishment. We offer a fast paced, fun, collaborative environment. We focus heavily on how we can nourish our guests with a knowledgable and supportive staff for the many patrons we serve with food allergies and sensitivities as well as those who seek to live a lifestyle of wellness.

You will report directly to Kitchen Guru & Kitchen Mentor, with a dotted line to the store manager

You will work in close conjunction with other team members, all of which perform slightly different roles at JBK, but as a team you are all responsible for the Kitchen operations and everyone pitches in all levels. We are excited that you are passionate about Health & Wellness and can hold down the line while also having the ability to assist in the preparation of scratch recipes in our 100% Gluten-Free kitchen.

You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks to a high standard such as:

• Setting up the line
• Maintaining cleanliness across all parts of the line & BOH operations
• Ensure dish specs are executed seamlessly and to a high standard
• Support dishes throughout the day to avoid dish buildup
• Set up workstations and ingredients
• Flip the line for each service
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly & to Health & Safety standards
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
• Consistently adhere to the opening, closing, mid-shift and cleaning checklists
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
• Perform daily & weekly deep cleans
• Strong commuication with BOH & FOH staff
• Support standard bakery prep (tortillas, brownies, cookies, cutting, scooping, biscuits)
• Have a strong understanding and base of JBK allergens & special dietary protocols
• Support Events, special orders & catering
• Putting away food orders with Leadership support & following the food receiving protocols
• Follow daily health code standards & support fellow team members with accountability to standards
• Support monthly bakery and special bakery initiatives.

You will also need to manage high volume and expo tickets while working the line during high volumes and an affable attitude, ability to work in stressful situations & effectively communicate with FOH expo is critical.

Compensation:

• You are offered this position at a rate pay of $17/hr. You will begin on a training rate of $15/ hour until you have completed training, ed ap modules and completed your employee test. After completing training requirements you will be paid $17/hr
• After 3 months you will have a performance review & then an annual review where pay and performance will also be evaluated
