Material Handler Job Purpose:

Under direction, performs a variety of receiving and inventory activities, stores and distributes supplies and equipment to other departments.

Duties:

• Receives and inspects all incoming raw materials and supplies and then distributes to the appropriate department or stocks into the warehouse inventory.
• Maintains complete inventory cards and records for all inventory items and builds steel kits as needed to supply production.
• Maintain constant flow of materials to the production floor and to meet the customer's demand.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing or carrying materials on a consistent basis and for long periods of time.
• Must be able to read and implement basic work instructions.
• Must understand basic inventory and warehouse practices.
• Must be able to safely and competently operate a forklift.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Follow drug free workplace policy.
• Preferred experienced in large load capacity boat trailers, box trucks for example (26 feet ) to include moving and manipulating in designated areas to and from. 

Position Requirements:

• Must have a clean driving record.
• Experience with movingboat trailers or equipment comparable.
• Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
• Must be able to perform equipment inspections before and after use. 
• Position availability must include Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Hours fluctuate to include some overtime and possible Saturday work.
• Highschool diploma/GED required. 
• 2 years’ experience working in industrial, manufacturing environment preferred.
