We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our direct primary care office. This role is ideal for a compassionate and organized individual who is passionate about providing an exceptional care experience for our patients and customers in a community-focused healthcare setting. Full-time responsibilities currently is centered around a 40 hour work week in office 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
- Serving as one of the primary points of contact for patients and customers to provide them a warm welcoming experience and assisting with their needs.
-Duties would include assisting office manager and providers with clinical procedures, including measuring vital signs, phlebotomy, IV insertions, medication administration
-Assisting with patient scheduling of appointments, sending reminders, handling cancellations and rescheduling
-PostiVisit Care including:
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care
-Assisting in communication with patients both for English and Portuguese-speaking patients and customers
-Educate patients about health management, direct primary care services and membership benefits
-Monitoring for opportunities to improve patient experience
-Management of business social media to advertise services and promotions to create brand and community awareness
-Assisting in planning/executing community events for increasing brand awareness and for improving our membership value and experience
-May include networking with like-minded businesses to expand our services and community outreach
Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent required, further healthcare related certifications is preferred
-Proven experience coordinating patient care
-Strong organizational and time-management skills
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with patients and staff
-Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and office software
-Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
-Ability to multitask and handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively
