Summary:

As the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communication initiatives to enhance brand visibility, drive revenue growth, and engage stakeholders. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will oversee a talented team and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business objectives.

What you will do:

  • Manage and provide leadership to internal and external consultants (e.g., Graphic Designer, Photographer and Videographer).
  • Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and foster professional development opportunities for direct reports.
  • Ensure alignment of team goals with overall company objectives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of integrated marketing campaigns to drive donor/stakeholder acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Develop and oversee content creation initiatives, including new product/program launches, annual fiscal themes, website content, social media posts, email campaigns, and other marketing collateral, to effectively engage target audiences.
  • Direct digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, social media advertising, and email marketing, to optimize reach, engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, industry influencers, and other relevant stakeholders to secure press coverage and enhance the organization's public image.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and optimize marketing and communication efforts.
  • Develop and manage the overall marketing and communication and program-specific budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including events, development, and programs, to align marketing and communication initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, master’s degree preferred.
  • 5-10years of experience in marketing and communications.
  • 3-5 years in a leadership role is required.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive revenue growth for existing and/or new product launches.
  • Passion for JA's mission and eagerness to learn programs.
  • Strong leadership skills. able to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, analytics platforms, and other relevant software applications.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and occasionally reach, bend, lift, or climb.
  • Able to lift 25 pounds at times.
