Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely construction estimates for various projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Analyze project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
- Utilize construction estimating software such as Bid2Win (B2W), Timberline Estimating to create detailed cost breakdowns
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
- Prepare bid proposals and negotiate contracts with clients
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and identify areas for cost control
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in construction estimating or related role
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid or similar programs
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
