Title: Senior Manager of Marketing Communications
Reporting to:
VP Marketing and Ecommerce
Team: Social Media Manager, Marketing Coordinator, 2 Graphic Designers
Position Summary
The Senior Manager of Marketing Communications will be responsible for overseeing and executing communication strategies to build the Juliska and Capucine De Wulf Brands across various digital and print platforms, national events, and bricks and mortar retailers. The successful candidate is creative, highly strategic and results driven with a passion for social media, storytelling, and digital innovation. This person will demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of the brand voices to amplify and propel our storytelling to the world through a clear vision and mastery of customer engagement and advertising strategies across both digital and traditional media. This position is based in the Charleston Headquarters and oversees both Juliska and Capucine de Wulf brands.
Essential Functions:
  • Acquire full understanding of each brand voice and value to strategically deploy across all marketing efforts and appropriate media.
  • Create robust social strategy, content, calendar, and campaigns (organic and paid) across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) increasing the company’s traffic and overall visibility.
  • Conceptualize, develop, and execute creative concepts to amplify stories.
  • Manage copy to ensure our web and social media content is visually appealing engaging and memorable, as well as SEO optimized.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to systematically monitor, search, and curate the most compelling and diverse forms of user-generated content for publication across our social media platforms, websites, and email campaigns.
  • Develop influencer program and manage platform to track performance and commissions.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the marketing and social strategy and report monthly on progress to stakeholders. Be able to pivot and try new ideas.
  • Explore direct mail opportunities to find relevant audiences for our seasonal lookbooks and other mailings and track results.
  • Leverage measurement tools to provide progress reports and mine insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.
  • Execute company action plans across numerous marketing platforms including catalog, web and e-mail, blog and video, social media, user generated content, and influencer marketing.
  • Identify and manage national brand partnerships, events, collaborations, campaigns, and public relations to reach strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with Wholesale Partners and Retail to capitalize on opportunities for synergistic events and advertising.
  • Build and own annual social media and communications budget and calendar to support the plan.
  • Create and manage budgets for direct reports with profit and loss responsibility for communication and social media budget.
  • Build collaborative and productive framework for cross-functional communication with all key internal customers including Merchandising and Design, Wholesale Sales, and Ecommerce leaders.

What we’re looking for:
  • 5 years’ experience in communication leadership with a luxury/discerning brand.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and keeps pace with the latest trends.
  • Proven experience of social media growth across multiple platforms, including influencer marketing and support apps.
  • Ability to project the brand’s voice with tone and clarity across multiple media channels to engage and increase audience.
