Our new Juice Bar is looking for a Cashier / Smoothie Maker with an overall Health conscience mindset who can help prepare ingredients, chop, and portion foods, and always follow proper food safety guidelines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for following menu portions, cleaning food, and keeping a sanitized work area.

This position will also require operating a Cash register, demonstrate the ability to receive and distribute correct forms of payment.

Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift. The ideal candidate will be punctual, able to work alone, be organized, and have general knowledge of food practices.

Duties and responsibilities include :

• Prepare basic components of each smoothie or specialized juices on our menu using our recipes.
• Bottle and prep juices.
• Utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
• Follow proper food handling safety guidelines.
• Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas, and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to operate a cash register.
• Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by the restaurant.

Requirements and skills :

• Proven experience as a smoothie maker / cashier.
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
• Physical skillfulness and can operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils.
• A team player with good communication skills.
• Ability to stay positive and work well under pressure.
• High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset, preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, initiative, and display exceptional professionalism.
• Excellent knife skills reliability, multi-tasker, with immaculate attention to detail skills
• Initiative; Professionalism; and have Patience.
• Ability to stand on your feet for up to six hours or more a day.
• Ability to work well independently or with a team.
