Experience Requirements
At least 15 years of age
Responsibilities
Recognize and respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.
Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor.
Complete records and reports.
Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
Maintain fitness level (swimming skills, strength, and endurance).
Complete additional duties as assigned by the Aquatics & Safety Coordinator.
Reports to the Director of Aquatics.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in all required training, initiatives, and meetings.
Maintain cleanliness of the facility.
Report any maintenance concerns to the Director of Aquatics.
Keep all personal qualifications up to date.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to lift a person off the bottom of the pool and out of the water (average weight 150 lbs).
Perform all skills required for Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications and in-service training as directed by supervisor.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time in an indoor environmentally controlled air temperatures and conditions.
Comfortable in water.
While performing duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with arms and hands. Employee must be able to talk, hear, taste, smell and see (both near and far). Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch.
