Job Details
- High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor s degree preferred.
- 3 years of in-house or outsourced payroll experience
- 2 years of experience in data analysis, including mining, evaluation, and visualization
- Advanced SQL or Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools
- Strong systems/process experience with demonstrated analytical thinking, attention to detail, organization, and problem solving
- Multi company/entity environment experience
- Experience with Workday or similar system strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll principles, multi-state tax laws, employee garnishments, regulations, reporting, and procedures.
- Exhibits working knowledge of calculation of all components of payroll gross to net.
- Knowledge of payroll concepts including pre- and post- tax benefits, deductions, and reporting.
- Knowledge of federal and multi-state payroll laws, and general legal requirements for tax registration, reporting, and special pay requirements
- Experience with payroll full process input-to-regulatory reporting reconciliations.
- Experience with third-party payroll processing systems such as Workday
- Understands banking concepts in the completion of payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll taxes.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependable, reliable, honest, and respectful of others
- Maintains the highest levels of confidentiality.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products (w/ above average proficiency in Microsoft Excel).
- Strong technology skills and ability to work in a primarily digital environment.
- Adept at embracing technological changes in the workspace.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks with varying priorities, processing high-volume transactional changes, staying focused, and working effectively
