Location: Quincy, MA
Salary: $53.00 USD Hourly - $53.58 USD Hourly
Description:
Title: System Administrator
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: 06 Weeks (Contract to Hire)
Hours/Week: This position is estimated to be 20-30 hours per week on average.
Description:
The System Administrator will perform an operating system migration for the client website.
Responsibilities
  • Configure a web server Amazon Machine Image (AMI) on the chosen operating system ready to host operational Drupal-based websites currently hosted under CentOS 7
  • Work with client staff to confirm full website functioning.
  • Configure AWS security, networking, backup, and monitoring.
  • Document configuration and installation steps.
Qualifications:
While the following sections describe required and desirable qualifications, candidates who believe that their particular experience and skills fulfill the requirements are encouraged to apply.
Required:
  • Experience managing web servers including installing and configuring Windows/Linux-Apache-PostgreSQL-PHP or equivalent stacks and SSL certificates.
  • Experience installing and using website content management system (CMS) software such as Drupal or WordPress
  • Experience managing Amazon Web Services (AWS) instances, Amazon Machine Images (AMIs), virtual private clouds, storage, content distribution networks, and other resources.
  • Strong background in administering hybrid computing environments that include a mix of Windows, and Linux operating systems.
  • Excellent cyber security practices and understanding
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Capable of mastering new technologies quickly
  • Attention to detail; able to fulfill tasks accurately and consistently.
