Description: Salesforce Cloud Developer
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid Onsite 2-3 days each week)
Contract: 1 year (renewable)
We are actively seeking candidates who hold the Salesforce Certified Platform Developer Certification and have experience working with government clients. As a Salesforce Cloud Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing customizable solutions within the Salesforce platform based on CRM needs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements for new projects and enhancements.
- Ensure that technical requirements align with established customer needs and performance goals, maintaining consistency with the long-term strategy.
- Take ownership of release cycles, implementing and deploying new or updated applications and code.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project environments.
- Establish and enforce internal development guidelines and standards for the development team.
- Collaborate with other system developers to integrate solutions across the business.
- Ensure proposed solutions adhere to security guidelines and standards throughout the application lifecycle.
- Demonstrate a track record of delivering business value through technology, effectively communicating strategic technical concepts at an executive level.
- Develop a training plan for the development team to facilitate a smooth transition to Maintenance & Operations.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
As a Salesforce Cloud Developer, you will need the following qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with the Force.com platform, specifically using Sales Cloud or Service Cloud (experience with Gov Plus Cloud is a plus).
- Proficiency in Salesforce Administration activities (Salesforce Admin Certifications are advantageous).
- Ability to develop CRM workflows and custom solutions to address specific business requirements (any additional Salesforce certifications are beneficial).
- In-depth understanding of the capabilities and limitations of Salesforce as a platform for custom application development.
- Hands-on experience writing Apex code, creating Visualforce pages, building Flexi Pages, designing Apex triggers, and developing Lightning web components.
- Familiarity with implementing solutions using configurations (no-code) such as Flows, process builders, and workflow rules.
- Collaboration with technical managers, architects, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and drive technical solution implementation.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with cloud-based and on-premises applications using standard and custom REST APIs.
- Proficiency in data mapping, data migration, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce Objects DML operations.
- Integration expertise connecting Salesforce CRM applications with downstream and upstream systems.
- Good understanding of core web technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and web services (REST, JSON, XML, etc.).
- Implementation knowledge of various authentication protocols (OAuth) for third-party application integration.
- Successful track record in Batch Apex and/or Schedule Apex development.
- Ownership of end-to-end technical aspects for Salesforce.com programs, including data migrations, data quality, system integrations, third-party applications, AppExchange products, and custom development.
