Description: Title: Material Lab Chemist

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Conduct synthesis and processing of various porous materials, including metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent-organic frameworks (COFs), zeolites, silicas, metal oxides, porous polymers, and composites.
- Perform characterization of materials using techniques like gas sorption, FTIR, TGA, NMR, XRD, and electron microscopy.
- Assist with the development, optimization, formulation and manufacturing scale-up of novel materials for specific applications.
- Contribute to the design and execution of experiments, analyze data, and prepare technical reports.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in porous materials research and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
- Collaborate effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience in laboratory settings and familiarity with basic chemical equipment and techniques.
- Strong understanding of fundamental chemical principles and concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- Proficient in Google Docs, Slides, and basic data analysis software.
- Experience with specific characterization techniques like gas sorption, XRD, or NMR is a plus.
- Knowledge of porous materials and their applications is a plus but not required.
