Work Schedule: 3rd Shift (11p to 7:30am)

Monday Night - Saturday Morning (Every other weekend must work either a Saturday or Sunday)

Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of facility equipment, mechanical systems, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes, attention to detail, and be able to promptly troubleshoot to perform emergency repairs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair the following: vacuum conveying system, scale systems, mixing and extrusion equipment, gas-fired ovens, vertical form-fill and sealing equipment, carton sealing and labeling machinery, pallet wrapping equipment, conveyor belt systems.
• Maintain building-powered equipment of two production lines.
• Utilize a CMMS to open new work orders, check work history, track inventory, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Reading, interpreting, and following instruction/operation manuals.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Performing general maintenance work on buildings and grounds.
• Complying with health and safety regulations related to working in a food manufacturing facility.

Qualifications:

• 10-hour OSHA (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, SOP, FSMA, and GMP usage requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret industrial electrical schematics.
• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and consistency.
• Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (required).
• Strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of the job, including heavy work with periodic exposure to inclement weather, hot and humid environments.
• Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• Able to lift up to 75lbs.

Education And/Or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
• 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced maintenance environment (required).
• Maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility or industrial bakery equipment (preferred).
• Facilities Maintenance – 3 phase, schematics, troubleshooting.
• Experience working with Industrial bakery equipment and Automated packaging equipment (preferred).
• Experience with: High/Low voltage application, Electrical/Mechanical schematic interpretation, Electronics Troubleshooting, MIG/TIG equipment usage, Rigging concepts, Forklift/AWP Equipment (preferred).
• Additional on-the-job training provided. Continuing education opportunities available.
