Job description - Community Relations Coordinator
Position Overview:
The Community Relations Coordinator is a pivotal role that combines the responsibilities of a receptionist, resident assistant, tour guide, and community representative. This position is essential in providing a warm, welcoming, and informative experience for residents, their families, and prospective residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and families, providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive impression of the community.
Conduct tours of the facility for prospective residents and their families, highlighting the amenities, services, and care options available.
Assist residents with daily activities, such as scheduling appointments, arranging transportation, and coordinating social events and activities.
Act as a liaison between residents, families, and staff, ensuring effective communication and addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
Maintain a welcoming and organized front desk area, including managing incoming calls, mail, and deliveries.
Assist in organizing and promoting community events and activities to engage residents and foster a sense of community.
Qualifications:
For the Community Relations Coordinator position, a college degree in fields such as Hospitality Management, Communications, Marketing, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field would be appropriate. A foundation in skills such as customer service, communication, interpersonal relations, and event planning, are valuable for this role. However, it's important to note that relevant work experience and a strong skill set can sometimes be more important than a specific degree.
Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
