Job description - Community Relations Coordinator
Position Overview: 
The Community Relations Coordinator is a pivotal role that combines the responsibilities of a receptionist, resident assistant, tour guide, and community representative. This position is essential in providing a warm, welcoming, and informative experience for residents, their families, and prospective residents.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and families, providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive impression of the community.
  • Conduct tours of the facility for prospective residents and their families, highlighting the amenities, services, and care options available.
  • Assist residents with daily activities, such as scheduling appointments, arranging transportation, and coordinating social events and activities.
  • Act as a liaison between residents, families, and staff, ensuring effective communication and addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
  • Maintain a welcoming and organized front desk area, including managing incoming calls, mail, and deliveries.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting community events and activities to engage residents and foster a sense of community.
Qualifications:
  • For the Community Relations Coordinator position, a college degree in fields such as Hospitality Management, Communications, Marketing, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field would be appropriate. A foundation in skills such as customer service, communication, interpersonal relations, and event planning, are valuable for this role. However, it's important to note that relevant work experience and a strong skill set can sometimes be more important than a specific degree.
  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in serving seniors.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
