JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Texas ACE 21st CCLC High Impact Teacher Tutor Wage/Hour Status: Part Time | $25/hr Reports To: Texas ACE Program Specialist Days: 180 / At Will Schools Hiring: Jubilee Harlingen, Jubilee Leadership, Jubilee Brownsville, Jubilee Livingway, Jubilee Kingsville, Jubilee San Antonio, Jubilee Westwood, Jubilee Highland Hills, Jubilee Lakeview Univ. Prep, Jubilee Wells Branch Length of Term: Grant Based, 1-year, up to 5 years Funding Source: TEA - Texas 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant
Primary Purpose:
Create and facilitate high-impact tutoring sessions for students in an afterschool program setting. Create and implement lesson plans following school district pacing guides and TEKS. Ability to attend all required trainings. Maintain up-to-date on all requirements and training as outlined in the grant. NOTE: The 21st CCLC federal grant funds this position for one year up to 5 years and will only work during the academic school year (Summer not included)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education; Teacher certification preferred.
Experience:
Experience working and tutoring youth.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinate, plan, and implement with the Texas ACE Program Specialist and campus Site Coordinator regarding High Impact Tutoring.
Maintains accurate report of student assignment sheet completion and documentation using the tutoring forms and upload time to DMAC accordingly for HB1416.
Maintain TX ACE 21st CCLC grant fidelity and adhere to all grant requirements for High Impact Tutoring.
Participates with Program Specialist and Site Coordinator to coordinate tutoring assignments.
Provides teaching materials for enhancing 21st Century Community Learning Centers.
Coordinates with Program Specialist and Site Coordinator to implement attendance and disciplinary procedures.
Plans and implements activities within budget constraints to achieve program objectives under the guidance of the Program Specialist and Site Coordinator. Performs any other duties the Program Specialist might deem necessary.
Provides Program Specialist and Site Coordinator with regular schedules and reports of activities. Takes direction and implementation requests from the Program Specialist for program development, implementation, supervision, and outcome measurement.
Assists Site Coordinator with focusing on participants’ personal development through diverse program offerings, with a focus on increasing their interests, attendance, program participation, knowledge, and abilities.
Implements guidance and discipline policies. Communicates and maintains standards of conduct for program participants.
Provides special guidance and development of participants assigned through the 21st Century Community Learning Centers project and other assigned projects. Identify and implement individualized guidance strategies based on the participant’s identified needs.
Ensure upkeep of Texas ACE Afterschool program property and equipment. Maintain a working knowledge of how to utilize all after-school property and equipment.
Attend required meetings, training, and other events as instructed by the Program Specialist
Implement safety and discipline guidelines
Maintain a working knowledge of Jubilee Academies policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Equipment Used:
Recreational and sports equipment, copier, personal computer, audiovisual equipment, instructional materials, interactive TVs, and projectors.
Working Conditions:
Work indoors and outdoors. Constant contact with students, parents, and staff.
Maintain emotional control under stress. Ability to think clearly in stressful situations and a high stress tolerance required, high physical stamina necessary, and extended amount of walking necessary. Travel between campus assignments; occasional district-wide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours. Use of computers and related equipment. Occasional lifting up to 35 pounds.
