Summary/Purpose
This is a great opportunity for new graduate interested in pursuing a career in accounting with a large manufacturing company. The primary tasks for this role will be responsible for the integrity of plant financials along with the daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting to the Plant Controller. Work with cross functional teams to improve the performance of the plant. The associate financial analyst will assist with a wide range of duties, including analyzing data, preparing financial reports, and learning about varied accounting and reporting activities.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

• Maintain, analyze, and report department costs monthly
• Report Daily P &L information
• Participate in Physical Inventory twice per year
• Participate in monthly and yearly closing process including journal entry preparation
• Participate in Business Plan and Revised Business Plan activities
• Establish trusting working relationships (team player); involved in and understands other functional areas and their impact on financial results
• Along with the Plant Controller, act as a liaison between the plant and JNA finance group as needed to answer questions and resolve any issues

• Communication: The demonstrated ability to share knowledge, both oral and written, and be receptive of knowledge received from other team members.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong analytical and organizational skills as well as detail oriented while working in a team environment
• Strong computer skills with high proficiency in MS Excel.
• General knowledge of financial statement relationships.
• Able to work with challenges and meet planned deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and / or equivalent relevant experience plus education
• Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles

• Work shift as assigned and overtime is required, as needed.
