Job description

Duties:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the apartment complex, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Oversee leasing activities, including marketing vacant units, conducting tours, and screening potential tenants.
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure prompt resolution of maintenance issues and repairs.
- Enforce lease agreements and ensure compliance with property rules and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant information, rent payments, and maintenance requests using property management software (Yardi, OneSite, etc.).
- Prepare and distribute notices to tenants regarding lease renewals, rent increases, or other relevant information.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial reports for the property.
Experience:
- Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) program is preferred
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is REQUIRED.
- Strong knowledge of property management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite.
- Excellent customer relationship management skills with the ability to effectively communicate with tenants and address their needs.
- Knowledge of facilities management and basic property maintenance procedures.
- Proficient in administrative tasks such as record keeping, report generation, and lease agreement enforcement.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to rental properties.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to find creative solutions to tenant issues or conflicts.
- Strong phone etiquette when interacting with tenants or prospective tenants.
- Upselling skills to promote additional services or amenities offered by the apartment complex.
