JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. is Hiring a Part-Time Data Collector Near Worcester, MA

SUMMARY

Community Economics Corporation (CEC) supports John Snow Inc., a leading public health research and consulting organization, specifically its Survey Research Group. CEC is a temporary staffing company that performs data collection tasks and various administrative capacities on various projects. Staff are trained and supervised by JSI Survey Group staff members.

The data collector performs on-site data collection according to established procedures using survey instruments as trained and clerical and administrative duties as required. No guarantee of set number of hours on a weekly or monthly basis. Positions may last up to a year or more depending on project needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Visit retail establishments in Massachusetts to collect information using a survey tool on tobacco availability and pricing
  • Review completed surveys to ensure quality and completeness
  • Return completed surveys to JSI in a timely manner
  • Report status of data collection activities to Project Team in a timely manner
  • Communicate regularly with project staff via email

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Car and driver’s license required (reimbursed for mileage at current government rate).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Personable and articulate.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to use electronic/online email and scheduling system on a daily basis.
