JSI Cabinetry is a leading United States kitchen and bath cabinetry supplier committed to fast delivery of the highest quality cabinetry. JSI operates distribution facilities in Fall River, Chicago, Atlanta, and Denver. Our expansive footprint is leveraged to service 2,500 of the finer kitchen and bath dealers in the United States with all-wood cabinets shipped as quickly as the next day.

We are currently hiring for multiple Warehouse Associates. Candidates must be able to work in a warehouse environment and complete tasks including but not limited to; order picking, shipping, janitorial tasks, receiving, packing, assembly, and other general warehouse duties.

Packer Responsibilities:

  • Inspect finished cabinets for quality and completeness before packing. 
  • Collaborate with quality control personnel to address any issues with cabinet quality or packaging. 
  • Operate and manage the Packsize machine to create custom-sized packaging for cabinets according to specifications. 
  • Conduct regular checks on packaged cabinets to ensure they meet quality standards and are correctly labeled for shipping.
  • Maintain an organized packing area and ensure sufficient supplies are available for packaging cabinets.
  • Conduct final quality checks on packed cabinets to ensure they meet company standards before shipping. 
  • Collaborate with the packing lead and quality control personnel to address any issues with cabinet quality or packaging for further inspection or corrective action.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling cabinets and packing materials.
  • Follow proper lifting techniques to prevent injury and ensure personal safety.

Cabinet Assembler Responsibilities:

  • Follow established procedures including using appropriate tools with the appropriate hardware components to assembly the cabinets.
  • Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Maintain and clean tools, machinery, and work areas regularly to ensure a safe and organized workspace. 
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members, including supervisors, and other assemblers, to ensure production deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when operating tools and machinery. 
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

 Picker Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and comprehending customer orders to determine the required cabinets and products for picking.
  • Utilizing digital devices with the warehouse management systems to locate and pick cabinets from designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Carefully handling and transporting cabinets and related items to the assembly line or packing area while maintaining product quality and ensuring no damage.
  • Making sure to use proper handling and stacking of cabinets and related products while picking to minimize damage. 
  • Assisting in maintaining accurate inventory records, collaborate with picking and inventory leads to identify discrepancies and participate in periodic stock checks or cycle counts. 
  • Loading outbound freight.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines while performing order picking tasks, including proper handling of cabinets, and proper use of material handling equipment.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the picking area to ensure a safe working environment. 
  • Communicating any inventory discrepancies, issues with picked items, or potential improvements in picking processes to team leads.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth workflow and assist in fulfilling orders during peak periods. 

Requirements

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow packing instructions accurately.
  • Basic mathematics skills for counting and recording inventory.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools effectively and safely.
  • Repetitive team lifts of up to 49lbs is required. 
  • Experience using packsize machines, RF scanner guns and driving a forklift and/or electric pallet jack is a plus (required for the order picker position).
  • Previous experience in packing, warehouse, or shipping environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and practices related to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
  • Proven experience in assembly, woodworking, cabinet building or carpentry is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Safety shoes are required.

*Specific duties and requirements may vary based on the employer and the production workload. Candidates must be willing to work in other departments in the warehouse as needed. 

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
