Job Description: Medical Support

Job Summary:

The medical support team plays a crucial role in healthcare settings, providing virtual patient care and supporting medical professionals, both administrative and clinical tasks. This includes assisting with scheduling patients, answering patient questions, managing medical records, prior authorizations, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing medical records..
• Provide patient education on medications, and follow-up care.
• Communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Prior authorization of medication.
• Keep patient updated on status of prior authorization, prescription
• Provide patient education on medications, side effects
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
• Assist with Onboarding calls
• Routing patient questions, calls to the correct Jrnys team member

Requirements:

• Current LVN license in the state of practice. or
• Completion of a medical assistant training program or relevant certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and computer skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.31 - $32.89 per hour
