JPMorgan Chase is Hiring a Technology Controls and Audit Associate - Project Execution Near Houston, TX

As an experienced Technology Controls and Audit - Project Execution within Corporate Technology, you will navigate the dynamic landscape of rapid technology advancements, cyber threats, increasing business demands, and global regulations. You will play an integral role in identification, assessment, oversight, monitoring and reporting of compliance and operational risk in line with firm standards. 

Work closely with executive leadership across the firm to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives ensuring high quality, accurate controls, metrics, and processes which reduce risk and provide benefit to the firm. As a key professional in JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s global technology group, you'll have the opportunity to work with some of the industry's leading talent in developing programs with broad and lasting implications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with risk leads and process owners to identify and document control improvements, identify risk across Corporate Technology, including identifying thematic root causes underlying issues and facilitating the effective remediation of control gaps
  • Research and develop data-driven assessment approach that will facilitate deeper risk conversations and robust forward-looking insights to enable competitive advantage
  • Review issues to identify trends, emerging risks, and actionable items in the risk and controls environment
  • Partner with central Cyber and Technology Controls and Global Technology teams to review and monitor key risk indicators and metrics to ensure CT operates within its defined risk appetite
  • Investigate systemic control breaches to identify and address root cause across line of businesses
  • Proactive engagement with control functions across second and third line of defense functions to ensure understanding of the overall governance program
  • Liaise with Internal Audit, 2nd Line, and 1st Line on assessments and engage with CT application teams to efficiently manage official requests for information during technology audits/assessments

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Expert knowledge in all business processes across an entire line of business, as well expertise in other lines of business and technology disciplines
  • Understanding of global and line of business project and program management standards and methods
  • Experience working with high-performing teams in complex program execution
  • Strong understanding of stakeholder management; budget management, risk management and operations
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the firm
