JPMorgan Chase is Hiring a Software Engineer II - Data Near Columbus, OH

As a Data Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology division, specifically the Employee Platforms team, you will play a pivotal role as an experienced member of an agile team. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing reliable data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will also be tasked with developing, testing, and maintaining crucial data pipelines and architectures across a range of technical areas within various business functions, all in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Supports review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of internal enterprise data
  • Advises and makes custom configuration changes in one to two tools to generate a product at the business or customer request
  • Updates logical or physical data models based on new use cases
  • Frequently uses SQL and understands PL/SQL databases and their niche in the marketplace
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on Data Pipeline Design and Development concepts and 2 years applied experience
  • Design and develop data pipelines to ingest, store, and process data from multiple sources
  • Advanced at SQL (e.g., joins and aggregations)
  • Working understanding of PL/SQL databases
  • Significant experience with statistical data analysis and ability to determine appropriate tools and data patterns to perform analysis
  • Experience customizing changes in a tool to generate product

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Oracle SQL and AWS Cloud experience 
  • Exposure to Databricks platform
