The CAO Data Strategy, Governance and Business Intelligence (DSGBI) team is responsible for the overall data strategy and governance across the firm’s CAO functions. This function supports Global Supplier Services, Global Security & Investigations, Global Real Estate, Firmwide Business Workforce Strategy, Global Business Resiliency, Travel and Amenities Services. Our team’s mission is to help our organization manage our data assets, and find the best solutions to surface insights from our data in an effort to drive new business insights, enhance analytics and streamline reporting. In doing so, we look for improvements ranging from establishing quality data repositories to designing cutting edge analytic insights utilizing the latest data visualization and machine learning tools.

We are seeking a Production Reporting, Data Quality and Technology Enhancement Manager who will be responsible for managing all recurring report production and submissions to senior managers, control committees and regulators. These deliverables may be fully automated through an Oracle data repository and Cognos reporting functionality, or may need to be extracted from similar sources for entry into SharePoint sites or updates into other reporting vehicles. This individual will need to work closely with other members of the CAO DSGBI team as well as control committee contacts, the Resolution & Recovery (R&R) core team, and various other stakeholders in the Lines of Business and Corporate Functions. Ensuring a high level of data quality in all outputs is essential for the success of our team. A successful candidate in this role will identify key elements of on-going data monitoring, and lead the development of processes, procedures and tools to help identify data gaps, errors and omissions in a timely fashion so that they can be repaired before key outputs are negatively impacted. As a result, this individual will need to engage directly with our reporting AD team, especially as it pertains to production defects and issues, whether they be experienced directly in our reporting architecture or in upstream feeds into the Oracle database. This individual will also be responsible for managing the backlog of work in which we will engage our Technology support. This will include setting priority, and ensuring enhancements are properly tested and meet requirements prior to implementation. Among the tasks associated with this role are:

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the timely completion of monthly Third Party Oversight (TPO) and Inter-Affiliate Oversight (IAO) scorecards, including the review of preliminary results with key IAO/TPO stakeholders, the submission of certain key metrics into the Firmwide Control Committee, and the update of other documents that also contain a subset of metrics included in these scorecards
  • Ensure timely delivery of all regulatory reporting requirements, including those associated with R & R in the United States, the UK’s Operational Continuity in Resolution, the European Union’s Single Resolution Board and any other periodic reporting requests from regulatory bodies globally
  • Partner with Reporting Technology support in the reporting and remediation of production defects, identified in either CAO DSGBI managed output or in upstream feeds into our Oracle repository
  • Ensure highest level of data integrity in all outputs, and escalate data deficiencies to appropriate resolutions for both tactical and strategic solutions – this would include the definition of data elements that drive critical outputs as well as the development, deployment and maintenance of various processes, procedures and tools that assist in the identification of data gaps, errors and omissions
  • Manage the development “backlog” for prioritization, development and implementation, as well as to take new reporting development and establish delivery schedules and methodologies that take advantage of available automation opportunities
  • Manage resources responsible for initial production of various, ensuring the proper development of needed skills, such as the use of Cognos, JIRA and visualization tools, as well as analytical skills

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Strong analytical & managerial skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with staff outside of designated area
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Team player with the ability to be proactive, work independently
  • Detail-oriented and results driven
  • Must be able to manage activities against the project plan
  • Proficiency with standard desktop applications including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project and MS Access

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experienced release manager – managing in an Agile fashion and familiarity with Jira a plus
  • Experience with reporting tools, such as Oracle, Cognos and Qlikview, is a plus
