As an Interaction Designer for the DCE Finance team, you will be focused on improving the way the CCB Finance group views data that allows them to answer questions and inform decisions around topics such as headcount and expenses, forecasting and planning, and financial reporting. We work with cloud-based data services, third party applications, data visualization tools, and task automation tools. Our audience includes Business Managers, Controllers, Planning & Analysis teams, Data Analysts, and Chief Financial Officers.

This role is ideally suited for people that want to learn more about how Finance works in a large institution, and who enjoy working with complex internal employee-facing systems. You will work closely with User Experience leads, Product Owners, Data Owners, and Tech Teams to implement solutions that incorporate cloud computing, large language models (LLM), artificial intelligence (AI), and ChatGPT. 

Job responsibilities

• Working with software vendors to configure and guide customizations of their software
• Mentoring and guiding junior Finance design team members
• Conducting user interviews, synthesis, and summaries that will inform sketches, mockups, and prototypes
• Facilitating workshops (includes translating output into project artifacts)
• Working with cross-functional teams to visualize complex flows and systems for collaboration
• Creating artifacts such as user journeys, service blueprints, and presentations

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

• Demonstrated presentation skills and a passion for storytelling
• Proven interaction design and prototyping skills
• Strong grasp of visual design principals, including balance, typography, and layout
• Experience with finding creative solutions for constraints posed by vendor applications
• Comfortable using PowerPoint, Excel, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite software
• Ability to pivot gracefully when project priorities shift and change

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial services experience
• Process re-engineering experience
• Experience working on data products and with cloud technologies such as Salesforce and Tableau
• Experience with animation and video editing
