The Infatuation’s in-house video capabilities are growing, and we’re looking for our next Video Editor on the Brand team.

As a Video Editor in The Infatuation (CDJ), you’ll craft engaging video pieces that live across our various web and social platforms. Your day-to-day will include media intake and management, cutting content, and motion graphics. At a larger scale, you’ll find yourself working on projects such as video promos, sizzle reels and creating packages for varying original content. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, understands how to create impactful video content, and is a natural storyteller. You’ll report to our Director of Video Production, and work closely with the Brand, Editorial, Growth, and Dining Strategy teams. 

Job Responsibilities

• Own editing and graphics packaging for all of our video content. This could range from editing simple social cutdowns to producing narrative driven editorial videos and everything in between.
• Assist Social Media Managers on editing videos for their respective social media accounts
• Assist Creative Producers on editing talent and travel videos
• Create sizzle reels highlighting internal initiatives and external events. 
• Consult with all departments to ensure consistency across all distribution platforms
• Collaborate with other Connected Commerce teams on co-brand initiatives 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills 

• 2 years of video editing experience with focus on social media videos and video ads
• Expert level proficiency in Adobe Premiere, as well as familiarity with video editing phone apps like CapCut, Splice, or Premiere Rush
• Incredibly organized with outstanding attention to detail 
• Ability to understand and balance creative ideas with business needs
• Familiarity with best practices for social media video
• You love bringing to life as well as coming up with your own ideas

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

• Knowledge of After Effects is preferred
• Shooting and coloring experience is a plus
