JPMC Candidate Experience page is Hiring an Insider Risks Program Manager - Associate Near Jersey, NJ

Global Security (GS) protects the firm's employees and assets throughout the world. This responsibility includes the development of security and safety policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative compliance, corporate aviation, guard management, alarm response, crisis management, ATM, branch and corporate building security and customer safety, physical crime investigations, workplace violence, fire and life safety, pre-employment screening, fraud and employee investigations.

Within GS, the Threat Detection and Analysis team is responsible for identifying potential threats against the firm and its workforce from internal and external actors and developing strategies to mitigate those threats to protect the firm’s reputation, workforce, clients, and assets. This is an intermediate level Associate position and, as a Product Owner, will be primarily responsible for the development and delivery of cutting-edge enterprise-wide solutions to detect, analyze, and mitigate risks and threats to the firm from insiders. This position requires close coordination with Technology to implement new analytic capabilities and workflow management tools, and will represent the perspective of Security/Risk Analysts throughout the development lifecycle. The role will also support the review and analysis of insider risk events and incidents (including rotational on call responsibilities) as needed. 

The candidate must be a highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills able to leverage their technical, analytical, insider risk, and/or counterintelligence experience to work on multiple assignments in accordance with dynamic priorities in a fast-paced environment The position will work closely with various partners within the firm including but not limited to Technology, Cybersecurity, HR, Legal and external parties. The ability to work effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders is essential. The role requires creativity, critical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across a large international organization. An interest in interpreting data to draw conclusions about human behavior is ideal.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to critical deliverables for the program by developing strategic solutions that adhere to data privacy requirements and expectations.
  • Contribute to day-to-day product development, project management and delivery in an agile environment.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify scope, issues, implementation plans and define product features for engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with data scientists and technical engineers to apply innovative techniques in solution development.
  • Collaborate with team to develop hypotheses, conduct analyses, and provide solution recommendations.
  • Synthesize impactful findings and present updates and recommendations to senior management.
  • Identify issues, obstacles, roadblocks and escalate as needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices for monitoring and analyzing risks and threats.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: 

  • At least 3 years of experience in product ownership or technical program management, project planning, workstream management, stakeholder engagement, issue and risk management. 
  • Experience with User Behavior Analytics (UBA) and/or User Activity Monitoring (UAM) including rules and policy engine management. 
  • Experience in performing quantitative and/or qualitative analysis
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, Jira and/or Confluence.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, data query, analytical tools and visualizations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, and executive level presentation.
  • Self-starter with the ability to think independently, demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and passion for developing new solutions, innovation and experimentation.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, information security, and/or digital forensics and concepts.
  • Familiarity with insider threat/risk analysis and security scenarios/concerns.

Preferred Qualification, Capabilities, and Skills: 

  • Experience in or knowledge of the financial industry.
  • Experience in identifying anomalous activities/behaviors and developing hypotheses to explain them
  • Experience conducting or directly providing analytical support to cybersecurity, criminal, counterintelligence, and/or insider threat/risk investigations.
  • Insider Threat (e.g. CERT courses, CCITP, GCITP, etc.), Cybersecurity, Counterintelligence, analytical tradecraft training and certifications.
