As a Core Operations Analyst you will be responsible for performing trade support by reconciling fund level, investment level and portfolio level hedge fund advisory information into appropriate software programs. As a key operations partner, you will provide direct business support and oversee reporting data compilation and analysis. Job responsibilities  

  • Perform a variety of data collection and compilation processes for Alternatives Asset investors, funds, and investment levels, ensuring all documentation is timely and accurately captured.
  • Perform trade support for investor and fund transactions, ensuring timely capture, execution of trade bookings, trade redemptions and trade settlement.
  • Utilize numerous industry wide banking and financial operations platforms, while simultaneously identifying and implementing process change and enhancements for efficiency gain purposes.
  • Perform bank account opening, closing, and maintenance requests, working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party banking providers. 
  • Maintain a strong control framework, including up to date procedures, checklists, and metrics reporting on all frequencies.
  • Complete daily reviews of fund and investment level bank accounts, preparing cash projections, reviewing potential and actual overdraft balances, and remediating as necessary through investigation.
  • Collaborate with technology and business partners to improve operational processes, to prevent errors and reduce risk.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or greater) from an accredited Business institution.
  • 1-2 years of relevant financial industry experience in Operations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, able to interact with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently as well as effectively in a team setting.
  • Possess a problem solving, analytical, and decision-making mindset with ease.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing work in a fast based and deadline-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to think about processes and impacts in a non-linear fashion, recommend process improvements, and execute to completion. 
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business, operations, and technical environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with strong emphasis on Excel and Power Point.
