JPAX Logistics Inc (JPAX) is a regional leader in transportation and logistics, and we are growing AGAIN! We currently have opportunities for individuals that enjoy driving to join our fleet of professional van drivers.
We are currently hiring drivers to drive company cargo vans out of Hagerstown, MD and deliver heavy / bulky parcels for a large internet retailer.
This is a HIGH ENERGY and PHYSICAL delivery position averaging 100 deliveries per route each day within planned time.
Shifts start between 9am and 11am and run until finished (generally 10 hours).
We are a 6 day a week operation. Requires flexible availability each week- we only hire drivers with open availability to work any day including Saturday .
Drivers are normally scheduled to work 3-4 days each week.
OUR DRIVERS RECEIVE GUARANTEED RAISES EVERY 6 MONTHS!
What does a Delivery Driver Associate do?
- Drives a delivery van to drop off packages to customers within local communities
- Commonly works 3-4 days a week
- Typical working days average 10 hours
- Follows strict safety standards on and off the road
- Interacts with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
- Uses handheld technology to manage the delivery process
What are the basic requirements?
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid standard drivers license
- Must be able to operate and navigate a delivery van
- Must be able to move oversized bulky parcels up to 75 lbs . (individually) and over 75 lbs. (team lift)
- Must be able to easily get in and out of the van
- Must have a very safe driving record
- Must read, write, and speak English
