Concrete and Asphalt Foreman

Base Salary : $60,000 - $90,000

Job Type : Full-Time

Schedule :

• 6 AM to 5 PM
• 10-hour shift
• 8-hour shift
• Monday through Friday
• Weekends as needed

JOB DESCRIPTION :

We are currently looking for dedicated and hard-working individuals with 5 or more years of experience to join our team as a Concrete and Asphalt Maintenance Foreman for a full-time, year-round position.

We provide a fun work atmosphere, with a team-oriented, positive attitude.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead, coach, and manage asphalt paving, concrete, and seal coating teams.
• Participate in all phases of construction, coordination, delegation for projects.
• Set expectations for the team regarding safety, quality, production rate and housekeeping for each job.
• Hold daily tailgate safety meeting with the crew and conduct safety meetings weekly.
• Minimize the number of go-backs or project fixes do it right the first time!
• Set work priorities and schedule crew for projects daily based on scope of work.
• Read specifications, such as blueprint to determine construction requirement and plan procedures.
• Review project details to ensure that proper materials, tools, and equipment are brought to each job.
• Locate, measure and mark site locations and / or placement of structures, equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.
• Provide assistance to workers engaged in construction, using hand tools and / or other equipment.
• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify specifications are being met.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

• Follow applicable safety guidelines.
• Knowledge and methods, techniques and equipment used in Asphalt, concrete, and seal coating operations.
• Load materials, tools, and equipment on the company truck for each job.
• Travel to and from office and job sites.
• Position requires long periods of stooping bending, standing, and lifting.
• Valid driver’s license to drive a company vehicle, must have clean driving record.
• Able to operate a skid steer, mini excavator, paver, roller, and dump truck.
• Operate concrete saw, finisher, bull float, trowel, etc.
• Able to work independently under written direction.
• Able to pour multiple types of curbs.
• Able to work under active road scenarios.
• Versed in Maintenance of traffic operations.
• Spanish is a plus.

License / Certification :
