We need a Peer Support Specialist, C.P.S.S. to drive clients to and from day treatment. Also drive residential clients to doctor's appointments, Probation appointments, and court hearings. We also need them to document peer support notes.
Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Peer Specialist to join our team. As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with mental health challenges, utilizing your own lived experience to inspire hope and promote recovery. Responsibilities: - Provide peer support services to individuals with mental health challenges - Serve as a role model and advocate for individuals in their recovery journey - Assist individuals in setting and achieving personal goals - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans - Utilize crisis intervention techniques when necessary - Facilitate educational workshops and support groups - Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress Skills: - Crisis management skills to effectively handle emergency situations - Proficient in mental health counseling techniques and strategies - Knowledge of community resources and support systems for individuals with mental health challenges - Ability to provide mentoring and guidance to individuals in need - Familiarity with addiction counseling principles and approaches - Experience in motivational interviewing to inspire positive change - Strong understanding of behavioral health concepts and practices - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Empathy, compassion, and the ability to establish rapport with clients We offer competitive compensation, a supportive work environment, and opportunities for professional growth.
