Job Title: Intake Counselor

The Intake Counselor will join our Clinical Admissions Department and play a crucial role in guiding patients through the admissions process. We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Desired Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• Alternatively, at least 1 year of experience in behavioral health

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in a higher level psychiatric or substance abuse facility
• Proficiency in mental health documentation and use of EMR systems
• Experience working with individuals in behavioral health crises or under substance influence
• Strong background in customer service
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Detail-oriented with experience in electronic health records and Excel
• Familiarity with DTX/RTC/PHP/IOP/OP Levels of Care

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist patients and their families, guiding them through the admissions process
• Conduct intake assessments and utilize evidence-based assessments as needed
• Adhere to company Standards of Care to ensure proper care and accurate documentation
• Develop initial treatment and discharge plans in collaboration with the clinical team

Schedule:

• Full-time position with flexible scheduling based on department needs
